This journal uses a double-anonymous model of peer review. Neither author nor reviewers know the identity of each other.
The Journal uses a double-anonymous model of peer review (for articles and comment pieces which have not been formally commissioned by the editorial team), using members of the editorial board together with others expert in the particular field concerned.
All articles and comment pieces are considered by the Editor to ensure that the submission (1) meets the basic criteria set out in the instructions which can be found here and (2) falls within the subject matter covered by the Journal. Submissions which do not meet these criteria will be rejected, and will not be sent for peer review.
Reviews of editorial decisions
If an author would like to seek a review of an editorial decision, they should contact the Editor (at editor@ecclawsoc.org.uk) and specify the reasons why they seek a review alongside evidence for that reason. The request will be considered by the Editor and the final decision as to (1) whether a review is undertaken and/or (2) whether the manuscript will be considered again for publication will rest with the Editor. Each request for a review of an editorial decision will be considered on a case-by-case basis, but the Editor will refer to this policy when considering the reasons presented for a review.
