Review process

This journal uses a double-anonymous model of peer review. Neither author nor reviewers know the identity of each other.

Peer review

Except for Book Reviews, all papers submitted to the Journal of Linguistics will normally be assessed by 3 anonymous reviewers.

Appeals

To appeal an editorial decision, authors may contact the Editor who has sent them the decision letter (via the JL Editorial Office: ewajaworskab@gmail.com).

Appeals must include author's statement that either (i) an Editor or a reviewer made a significant factual error or demonstrated a major misunderstanding of a manuscript, or (ii) the integrity of the editorial decision-making process was compromised.

Appeals will be reviewed by the Editors and the final decision will rest with them.
