Learned journals and literary quarterlies: editorial (not business) addresses and the names of editors are given; asterisks indicate journals that review; an abbreviation in brackets is the one approved for use in scholarly documentation. Association of Departments of English. The following resolution, offered by two subcommittees of the ADE, the Sub-committee on Practices in Recruiting and Hiring (C. L. Barber, Ch; T. A. Barnhart; John Gerrietts; John Raleigh; Darwin Turner; Lewis Leary); and the Sub-committee on Research (Leonard Dean, Ch; C. L. Barber; John Gerber; Frederick L. Gwynn), has been approved by the Administrative Committee of the ADE and the MLA Executive Council. It will be presented for approval at the ADE meeting on 26 December, before the regular MLA meeting. In the meanwhile, Frederick L. Gwynn (Trinity Coll., Hartford) has consented to devote half of his 1964–65 leave to being MLA Research Associate in the English Program. If the ADE approves the resolution, Gwynn (himself a member of the ADE Administrative Committee) will become ADE Coordinator.
