Review process of the Proceedings of the Design Society:
The Proceedings of the Design Society for both ICED and DESIGN conference series use a double-blind review process, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process.
The review process proceeds in three stages:
First, the Programme Committee checks all full paper submissions received. Submissions appropriate to the stated topics and scope and prepared according to the call for papers and author instructions are then assigned to a minimum of two reviewers.
Second, the quality of the conference series is reinforced by members of the Scientific Advisory Board that evaluate the submissions through double-blind review. Each submission selected for review is assigned to at least two to three reviewers reviewing against pre-defined criteria. Reviewers are sourced from the Scientific Advisory Board of the conference series and are distinguished members of the worldwide Design Society and respected researchers and professionals.
Third, based on the reviewers’ evaluations by the Scientific Advisory Board, the conference Programme Committee select the papers accepted for publication. The decision of the Programme Committee is final.
Papers accepted for publication and presented at the conference will be included in the conference proceedings.
Questions relating to the submission or publication process should be directed to ICED@designsociety.org.
